The Full Story

Autoxross was established in 70’s by the Cross brothers. They achieved considerable success building cars for many types of motorsport including rallycross, circuit racing and most noticeably in Oval Racing. Active involvement in motorsport is the DNA upon which the company was built and still operates today.

In 2015, Simon Smith became Company Director and has now taken full control of the business merging lock, stock, jigs and moulds into his existing engineering and fabrication company based in Billericay, Essex.

Simon has been involved in motorsport for over 35 years, initially racing motorcycles at Brands Hatch and Snetterton and then moving on to oval racing. Early Banger racing gave way to Group A Hot Rods and from there to National Hot Rods, with Simon building his own chassis and managing his own set up.

For the last 5 years Simon has taken a break from racing to concentrate on his latest project of building the Fiesta ST, before previously running his popular green Autoxross BMWZ4 in the Intermarque series with great success.
