Ahead of this Sunday’s NHR English World Series Round 7, Terry Hunn is looking forward to another successful meeting in the Autoxross Fiesta NHR.
Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich a fortnight ago heralded another point’s haul in the last Round and very nearly a potential first Grand Final win.
‘The Engine had been back to Carl Boardley’s for a check over and set up – I can’t thank Carl and Andy enough for their support – and immediately it was much better at Foxhall’ commented Hunn.
‘To be very honest, we did very little changes set – up wise during the meeting. Dan Smith has been working the shocks for us and has got them perfect for me, so we have a very good basis already. This has been such a Team effort so far and I cannot thank Dan, Carl, Andy Barnes, AutoXross and everyone involved enough for all their commitment and help, – it’s transformed my racing!’
Foxhall was a little greasy from the previous Banger world Final, but Hunn found an outside line which he capitalised on throughout the meeting netting himself a fourth place in Heat 1, a superb second in Heat two and what was looking as a possible first Grand Final win ended with an incident which saw the Hunn Fiesta sinning onto the infield and a disqualification for Bradley Dynes. Hunn rejoined the race eventually finishing with a ninth place but nonetheless pleased with his nights work which sees him in an all – important 2020 World Championship Qualifying position with several Rounds still to go!
‘I’m really looking forward to Hednesford Sunday, we went well there last time so we hope to be even quicker this time around with both myself and the car even more ‘dialed – in!’
